USER EXPERIENCE
Netease Games (Montreal, Canada) is now seeking a User Researhcer to join our research team in Montreal. In this role, you will positively impact Netease's development of outstanding games and user experience by providing insigtful research and tests. You will work closely with coworkers from 3 different disciplines, User Research department, Data department, UX design department, to create and conduct research plans and provide insightful results. We currently have 6 different teams in User Research department, focusing on various type of games within studio, launched and under development. Focusing on needs of players, user researchers join together to design and conduct different studies and research to continually create better experience for gamers. Data scientists, data architects and data engeneer in Data department help establish essential data platforms, collabrate to build better data processing. They strive to power all of Netease's products with data and machine learning technologies to make sure that we are data-driven decision makers. In UX Design department, UX designers not only works together, but also side-by-side with User Researchers, Data scientists and game designers to ensure that UI design of our products is always growing. * Be responsible for market research projects for games under developement or launched games.
* Design and conduct user research studies and projects individually, including but not limited to the process of study goal analysis, methods design, process planning, data gathering and reporting. Research methods including but not limited to surveys, usability testing, interviews, focus groups, data analysis.
* Analyze consumer needs, conduct related competitive analysis and games data analysis to provide meaningful, impactful insights about players and markets.
* Effectively communicate research results to multiple levels of the organization to follow updates of games and help create better game design.
* Bcholar's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction, Marketing, Statistics, or a related discipline.
* Minimun of 3 years experience as User Researcher, Usability Specialist, Data Analyst or similar on games, mobile apps, websites and software applications.
* Strong research and experimental design background, experience with a variety of user research techniques and methods.
* Strong data analysis skills (both quantitative and qualitative) , verbal communications skills and PowerPoint skills to convey insights to multiple level stakeholders.
* Native level English speaker, Chinese languge skill is nice to have.
