NetEase Games Montreal is the brand new division of NetEase Games; a leading game developer and publisher focusing on delivering top quality mobile and online gaming experiences. We’re currently seeking Art Director for our next AAA project to provide artistic direction for the character team.

Job Responsibilities

* Skillset to create high quality animation assets for AAA Games.

* Fit the style and aesthetic of the game.

* Maintain the movement style of the game and character personalities.

* Good communication skills to both fellow team members &. other departments.

Qualifications

* Develop the artistic direction for characters of the game following the storyline.

* Define the visual design principles for concept artists to achieve unique and unified style for character design.

* Elaborate the visual references of the artistic direction that will be used as a guide for the artistic team regarding the required quality standards.

* Collaborate with the animators, programmers and game designers to optimize the visual needs while respecting everyone’s constraints.

* Demonstration of a concept’s evolution from rough ideation to final result.

* Divide the tasks efficiently within the artistic conception team.
